Click BOOK NOW to see one of us today! This post will be a little lengthy but this will help answer any questions you may have before coming in to the studio.
We’re not like other other shops, why?
Well, we are a hybrid of a salon and a barbershop. That means that we have licensed cosmetologists (salon haircutters) and licensed barbers (barbershop haircutters) that work inside the studio. We vary in experience, expertise, and essence. Hah I just wanted to use 3 E’s, all i’m actually trying to say is that we’ve each been cutting hair for different amounts of time but have a cumulative of 20+ years. We each specialize in something more specific but are well rounded generally so we can all cut both long and short hair, masculine, and feminine styles & haircuts. We each have our own style, flare, or flavor. We have our own unique ways of personalizing someone’s haircut as well as the unique ways we use our tools. We encourage folks try out multiple haircutters to find their right fit. None of us mind “sharing clients” either as many folks bounce from one person to another. We just care that you’re getting the hair that you want.
We’ve made choosing an appointment as a brand new client rather easy but just in case you still find yourself unsure of what to book just follow these guidelines.
Brand new clients: Choose the option that says “first time client”. We recommend you review our bio’s prior to booking so that you can have a hairstylist’s name in mind. First time client appointments include a shampoo should you choose to have one. It is optional but doesn’t change the price of the service.
Why is the price higher than a regular 60 minute haircut? Because we book out an hour and a half for this service. We want time to talk thoroughly through what you’re looking for, what your hair goals are, things you do and don’t like about your hair, and any other questions that help us understand your hairs vision. It’s our goal to reach and exceed your expectation so having photo references is super helpful. This helps us get a visual idea of what you’re imagining in your head. If you’re not someone who can picture things in their mind than fee free to defer to the stylist. (I’d still find photo references even if you can’t picture the look on yourself. The photos just help guide the stylist in general direction since people have varying hair textures and densities.)
Here’s a little insight to get you on our books as soon as possible with as much ease as possible.
- All our appointments are self booked online at SHEARBARBERSTUDIO.COM
- Credit or Debit card will be required to hold the appointment. No charges will be made, this is only to save your spot.
- We have a 24 hr cancellation policy which requires all clients to inform us via phone, text, or email that they will not be attending their appointment. (Ex: if your appointment is at 2pm on Friday, you must let us know before 2pm on Thursday).
- You will be charged the full service price if you do not cancel up to 24 hrs before your appointment start time
- We all have different prices because we each run our own businesses within the SHEAR doors. Our prices are based on education, experience, and varying specialties.
- We DO take walk in’s and same day appointments, however some days may be fully booked with no room for either. We recommend you call ahead
- You don’t need to wash your hair before coming in. The “new client” service includes a hair wash so don’t worry if you aren’t able to wash before hand.
